STUDY ON DISPATCHING POLICY OF AUTOMATED WAREHOUSING SYSTEM BASED ON CTPN

At present, most of studies in dispatching policy of automated warehousing system at home or abroad onlypay attention to one part, not the whole system. But a general automated warehousing system is composed of severalsub-systems, such as automated vehicle sub-system, conveyor sub-system, storage and retrieval sub-system, sortingsub-system and so on. In this paper, the dispatching problem of automated warehousing system is studied based onCTPN (Colored Timed Petri Net). The basic concept of CTPN is discussed. The dispatching policies of sub-system inautomated warehouse are proposed respectively on analysis of the existed dispatching policies and the feature ofevery sub-system. Then, they are modeled by CTPN. The dispatching policy in the whole system is studied and proposed in order to reduce the interactive effect of sub-systems and coherent the running of the sub-systems. All themodels are put into simulation by CPN-Tools. The simulation result shows that the proposed dispatching policies canreduce deadlock in the system and enhance the running efficiency of the system. So its an effective way to studydispatching in automated warehouse deeply and entirely.
