CURRENT SITUATION AND COUNTERMEASURES ON INTERNATIONAL CONTAINER TRANSPORTATION STANDARDIZATION IN CHINA
Being the major intemational inter-modal transportation means, the standardization situation of containertransportation has vital importance on the international transportation efficiency. However, there are some kinds ofshortages concerning standardization in Chinas container transport, such as lack of complete standard system, theinadequate coordination among the standards of different transport means and between the standards at intemationaland domestic level. All of these problems have turned out to adversely affect the transportation efficiency in China.On the basis of on-spot investigation and data analysis, this paper offers a general review on the current situation andproblems on international container transportation standardization from the perspectives of general standard, transporttools standard, infrastructure standard, operation standard, management information standard and etc, and then comesup with the related countermeasures, aiming at promoting the development of integrated transportation.
