Adsorption Properties of Platinum on CCCS Resin
Chitosan was crosslinked using chloromethyl thiirane as crosslinking agents to synthesize crosslinked chitosan resins(CCCS). The adsorption prosperities of Pt(IV) on CCCS resin were studied,including the influence of pH value, adsorption kinetics and adsorption isotherm. FTIR spectrum confirms that the adsorption sites of the CCCS resin are ─SH and ─NH2 groups. Results reveale that CCCS is suitable as adsorbent to removal Pt(IV) from dilute solution. The rate parameters and the equilibrium parameters for the Pt(IV) by CCCS were also determined. It was shown that the adsorption kinetics of Pt(IV) could be best described by the first-order model and the equilibrium data could be fitted by the isothermal adsorption equations of Freundlich and Langmuir.
