Hily Efficient Laser Electrodispersion Technique Catalyst on Pt and Pd Nanoparticles
The main aim of the report is the technology development for a fabrication of highly efficient nanestructured catalysts made of Pt-like metals. The original laser electredisporsion technique is described which is used for producing of the coverings consisting of Pt and Pd nanoporticles. The method is based on laser ablation of a metal target, accompanied by the cascade fission of small metal drops ejected from the target surface. The nmoparticles obtained by this technique are monodispersive and amorphous. It is shown that these nanoparticles have record-high catalytic activity in different reactions, hydrogenation and redox reactions being the particular examples. The developed nanopartide fabrication technique is universal and allows fabricating of the highly efficient catalysts using different metals and metal alloys.
