A Study on management model for a long-range preservation & revitalization of traditional village
Traditional village is a repository of peculiar life culture and field for applying heritage. Under the rapid globalization and westernization, preservation, maintenance and development of traditional village is very important from a point of view of preservation of peculiar life culture and suggestions of desirable life culture. This thesis grasps the present conditions of village and analyze the limitations and then suggests the proposal of preservation and application to show characteristics of villages.However, traditional villages have gone through an aging society and diminution in population. Traditional villages have been maintained and managed in part of cultural assets under the government passively.These passive management brought about depreciation of cultural characteristics and made residents exclusive. According to development, traditional village had not cultural value but commercial and touristic value. So the proposal for preservation of traditional village is very imminent. It cant be reached by solving problems partially.From grasp of the problem to proposal of execution it needs a new point of view.
