A NEW METHOD FOR MULTI Bits LED DISPLAYING BASED ON PLC
In most intelligent mechatronics system controlled by PLC, special communications module is used for driving LED usually. But it doesnt meet the demand of designing for a small system due to its cost. To solve this problem, a new method for dynamic multi bits digital display control of LED was proposed, in which PLC is used as controller. The serial communication between ZLG7289 and PLC was adopted in this method, and the display interface circuit can realize multi bits of LED digital display by using only 3 output points of PLC. The hardware and software of this system was expounded detailed. According to the result of experiment, the method could reduce the cost and actualize multi bits of LED real-time output. And a successful sample of this method used in a certain safe distance test system was given. In the end, a new control system was brought forward that named distributed control system for LED based on PLC (DCSLP).
