STUDY OF WEAR EVALUATION ON DIESEL ENGINE 500H RELIABILITY TEST BASED ON OIL SPECTRUM ANALYSIS

Oil spectrum analysis and time series model are used to carry out the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis for diesel engine. The changes of the ingredient and concentration of wear particles in the diesel engine lubricating oil indicates the lubrication, wear and condition of rubbing pairs. However, high frequent change of oil during the operating of the diesel influences the changing tendency of the wear particle concentration; also brings the obstacle to the wearing evaluation of diesel engine. The application of linearity regression analysis method to the concentration curve of Fe got rid of the influence of the concentration changing, and ensures the tendency research of wear and failure of diesel. Author analyzed the lubricating oil which comes from the 500 hour reliability test to someone diesel engine with oil spectrum analysis method and relative mathematics methods, and analyzed the methods of doing pretreatment for the data of the concentration of the wear elements. Then the wear evaluation model of the diesel engine was obtained by using time series analysis method. The model is applied in condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of the test diesel. The analysis results showed that the engine worked in the condition of severe wear in the testing period of 96 hours. The wear evaluating result was consistency with the fact that severe wear appeared on the exhaust valve pipe of diesel engine in the same testing period. The experiment results also demonstrated that the model could evaluate the wear condition of main components in the reliability test of diesel engine. Therefore, it will be a new method for the reliability identification of diesel engine.
