IRRATIONAL STRUCTURE OF THE CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR IMPACTS ON STABLE RUN
Safe and stable operation is a indispensable qualification of centrifugal compressor, in structural design, we consider more rotor itself (rotor resistance, oil film state and the bearings state) impacts on the stability operation in the past, this paper presents factors which affect centrifugal compressors stable operation, such as inadequate bearing support stiffness, over-long rotor cantilever. Furthermore, the paper makes a model of centrifugal compressors rotor with finite element theory, and analyses the structural design effect for the centrifugal compressors vibration characteristic with rotor dynamics theory. In the end, the paper analyses the importance of structural design through the running example by NH3 centrifugal compressor of Ningxia, and sums up the structural design impacts on centrifugal compressor long-term stable run.
