Image Fusion with Control of Luminance Contrasts via an Iterative Procedure
In this paper,a new image fusion approach is proposed.Different from previous fusion algorithm,the luminance contrasts in the resulting image can be efficiently controlled by using a linear diffusion operation-based image preprocessing operation.In practice the linear-diffusion method is used to perform the multi-scale contrast decompositions.In order to get a desired luminance contrasts,a iteration procedure is applied to adjust the number of iterations in the diffusion operation such that a best fusion quality can be achieved.The proposed method has been tested on several multifocus images, and results show that the fused images present a more detailed representation of the depicted scene.
