Supply Chain Dynamics: Review and Reflection

One of the typical characteristics of todays competitive environment is Dynamic which serves as a huge challenge to companies operations and management. In order to cope with the problems arising from the changing environment, supply chain becomes the effective mechanism. Supply chain dynamics has long been recognized in both academic and practical fields. Based on the brief literature overview of recent work in supply chain dynamics, the paper considers several reflections in this area. It proposes that the M&A (Merger and Acquisition) factors can be introduced in the study of supply chain dynamics. From the perspective of supply chain strategy, the M&A of supply chains enables the system structure changed, thereby the system behavior, especially its dynamic behavior.
