The Impact of Stochastic Lead Times on the Bullwhip Effect

摘要：

We noticed that stochastic lead times exist in every stage of the supply chain,so this paper discusses the impact of stochastic lead times on the bullwhip effect, which is closer to the real world. We explain the meaning of introducing the stochastic lead times and derive BE coefficients under stochastic lead time condition for different forecasting models. We also notice that it isessential for us to lower the uncertainty of the lead time by centralizing the demand information so as to mitigate the bullwhip effect.
