Informal Knowledge Transfer and Emergence of Advice Networks: A Heterogeneous Agent Model

摘要：

This paper aims to explore some of the mechanism which dominates the advice network formation in the process that is called informal knowledge transfer. We follow the individual-oriented approach, network structure is considered as a result of the individual behaviors. In contrast to much of network formation literature on partner selection,considering the informal context, here agents are heterogeneous which have specific characteristics and different behavior rules,respectively the rational agent making decision for interest and the emotional agent making decision for similarity. Using the multi-agent simulation, we focus attention on the effect of the heterogeneous agents on the equality and the efficiency in knowledge transfer process.Repeated interaction creates a network, and in some regime of the parameter space, small world emerge.
