The Successful Approaches of R&D Localization for Multinational Enterprises In China
-For the first six months of financial year 2007, there have been 174 regional headquarters of the MNCs and 203 R&D centers operated by foreign capital in Shanghai.By classifying and analyzing the motivation of international R&D cooperation in different way,the complex relationship of the game theory between the MNCs motive of searching more markets and the governments requiring investment has been proved. Besides the strong power, the ability of negotiation, the art of communication and a number of other stuffs are also very necessary. On the base of investigations to more than 50 MNCs, 7 cases are selected in order to probe into the successful path to the R&D localization. A model is set to summarize the rules. However, it is a long and complex system construction.
