Architecture of ERP Based on Agent and Mediator Model

With the increasing business globalization and worldwide marketing, ERP systems become more and more complex and some new requirements that focus on both reengineering of the business process and optimization of global resources configuration are brought forward. To address these problems,the architecture of ERP has been developed, in which the agents are classified into five types.In this architecture, the communication and information exchanges are realized between agents (based on KQML and CORBA). Finally,to illustrate the architecture, an experiment system has been proposed in detail. The objective of this paper is to illustrate the architecture of ERP systems based on agent and mediator with the purposes of extensibility,flexibility to achieve the business agility,reusability of the component, and cooperation between application systems to assure a globaloptimization.
