The Vertical Relationship between Operators and Service Providers in 3G Industrial Chain
With the advent of 3G, the telecommunication industrial chain will be longer than that in 2G era, and there will be more and more kinds of firms on the telecommunications industrial chain. In addition to operators and equipment suppliers,more and more service providers and content providers play an important role on this industrial chain. The crucial mission of leading member is to harmonize the relationship among the members on the chain. Our paper analyzes how 3G operators deal with the vertical relationship with service providers to acquire the initiative power in market competition.
