MICRO-DROP JETTING METHOD IN PATTERNLESS CASTING MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUE
Patternless casting manufacturing (PCM) technique is a new kind of Rapid Prototyping based on jetting method. Jetting system is an important part of PCM technique. The design and control method of jetting device affects directly whether PCM process can be done successfully, as well as quality of casting moulds. By comparing continuous jetting device with discrete jetting device, and analyzing the scanning line with discrete features, the discrete jetting mode can not only reduce the content of the catalyst, but also change the drop size and the drop flow by adjusting the frequency and duty ratio of square wave. Thus the discrete jetting mode is more suitable for PCM technique.
