Collaborative Design of Large-scale Optical Instrument Structure
Collaborative design method for large-scale optical instrument is introduced for fully considering the design process under the integrated environment, which mainly includes opto-mechanical structure CAD, CAE and the integrated information platform PDM. The whole design process is based on the virtual main model to realize parameter drive, and the model transformation and data share among different design and analysis steps is the key technologies. Firstly the integrated frame of CAD/CAE/PDM is introduced. Then the key aspects for large-scale optical instrument, especially the advanced design by Opto-CAD software and Zernike polynomial fit, are discussed. Finally an application example is given,including optical design, structure design and analysis flow. Due to fully considering the design process by CAD and CAE based on PDM, collaborative design method for the large-scale optical instrument design well improves the design efficiency and quality, and the structure optimization can also be attained.
