Research on Preparation of Bioactive Hydroxyapatite on Pure Titanium
The methods of preparation of hydroxyapatite coatings by complex oxidation and hydrothermal treatment were analyzed. The complex oxidation meant that the titanium plates were anodic oxidized firstly and then micro-arc oxidized. The surface morphology, microstructure, phase structure and relative percentage of Ca, P and Ti atoms were studied by means of SEM, XRD and EDS. In addition, the mechanisms of coating generating were discussed. The results indicated that the oxide films with symmetrical discharged pores, combining firmly with bases and including Ca &P elements were formed by complex oxidation process. After hydrothermal treatment in alkalescence solution applied to the titanium plates with complex oxidation film, the phosphate ions of inner layer distributed to the outer layer through the discharged pores. Then these phosphate ions reacted with the hydroxide ions and calcium ions in the outer layer, by which the hydroxyapatite was obtained.
