DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A SPECIFICATION FOR AUTHORISED QUALIFYING BODIES

ISO 97128 and EN 4737, which both require conformance with ISO/IEC 17024 1,define an Authorized Qualifying Body (AQB) as a body, independent of the employer, authorized by the Certification Body (CB) to prepare and administer qualification examinations. Both of these standards allow the CB to delegate, under its direct responsibility, the detailed administration of qualification of personnel to AQB, to which they will issue specifications for facilities, personnel, equipment, examination materials, records etc..
