DIAGNOSIS OF A RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR
As a rotor rotates, a piston compresses air and discharges compressed air to a tank. There is an interaction between a piston and air. To reveal a dynamics of a compressor we built a compressor model including both dynamics of piston and so on and pneumatics of air in this paper. We also modified a normal model to include leakage of air at an intake valve, a discharge valve, a packing, a piston ring and a tank. And then we checked change of system behaviour caused by each leakage and developed the technique to identify leakage using pressure data in a cylinder. In an identification technique, we assumed that isentropic compression and expansion at the stage of all valve close. Finally we found that our proposed technique estimate leakage at a valve quantitatively.
