Study of New Technology Implementation Using System Dynamics

摘要：

New technology could often help organization to improve product quality, reduce cost and gain competative advantage. Therefore,it is vital for corperate to adopt new technology.However, the implementation process is not easy. Statistics shows that a high percentage of new technology implementation is unsuccessful.It is a complex issue concerning the whole organization. In our research, we use System Dynamics to tackle the problem. A dynamic model is developed based on the data from survey results provided by a company. Model simulations help us to investigate different policies. We found that sharing information with all employees to form a realistic expectation about the new technology is a crucial factor to successful implementation. And training before implementation is also an effective policy.
