Information Sharing of Service Part Management in Closed-loop Supply Chains
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effect of information sharing strategy of service part management on the performance of the manufacturer and retailer. Products recovery to obtain service parts is considered in this management system. System dynamics models are established to simulate the operation process not only in the production period but also in the period when production stops. The concepts of product life cycle, after sales service quality and customer propensity are introduced into the models. The results of the two models with and without information sharing are compared. And it shows that the implementation of information sharing strategy can bring significant performance improvement for the manufacturer, but not the retailer.
