Risk Evaluation Using Fuzzy-extension Engineering Method for Gas Pipelines

Fuzzy mathematics and extension engineering method are combined in this paper,based on matter-element theory, extension set theory and the correlation function. The fuzzy-extension model of risk evaluation for gas pipelines is established. The model is reasonable in calculating the risk degree, which makes the organic combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. A case of risk evaluation for gas pipelines in Handan is given in the paper using the fuzzy-extension model. The paper presents this method and aims at providing some useful data for risk management.
