ALGORITHM FOR IMPROVING THE ACCURACY OF NEWMARK INTEGRATION METHOD IN THE STUDY OF ELASTOPLASTIC OSCILLATIONS
Damped forced vibrations of a single-degree-of-freedom elastoplastic system, are studied, by using Newmark-b integration method. A correction algorithm is proposed, in order to improve the accuracy of the calculations. The method is applied with and without correction and the results are compared for the case of the seismic excitation.
