Studying the Probability Distribution of The Gross Cargo throughput in the Port

摘要：

The probability distribution of aggregate cargo throughput has received wide attention in recent research programs for port zone planning. A model for describing the probability distribution of cargo throughput is proposed. The aggregate cargo throughput was direct related to the operation times of cargo ships arriving at the port and the operating efficiency of handling equipment. The aggregate cargo throughput is the sum of all compound variables which indicated the cargo throughput each time when cargo ships arrived at the port.Probability distribution of cargo throughput was acquired using wald equation. It shows that the distribution of the aggregate cargo throughput depended on the operation times of cargo ships arriving at the port.
