ASSESSING THE SEISMIC SAFETY OF EXISTING RC STRUCTURES USING THE EC8-PART 3 PROCEDURES
The present study is an application of the EC8-3 deterministic procedure for safety assessment. Based on the application of the EC8-3 deterministic procedure, the study aims to assess if the considered methods of analysis lead to similar safety results, identifying the factors that may affect the results. Moreover, the EC8-3 procedure application is complemented with a probabilistic approach to obtain fragility values corresponding to the deterministically assessed safety levels. By comparing deterministic and probabilistic results, the study assesses if similar deterministic results lead to similar probabilistic results. Furthermore, the study will try to establish a correlation between deterministicD C ratios and the expected fragility values.
