A New Algorithm for Feature Matching in Reverse Engineering

摘要：

Feature recognition and surface reconstruction from point cloud are difficulties in reverse engineering. A new surface reconstruction algorithm from slice point cloud was presented.Firstly, the contours of slice were extracted. Then ,the intersection of two adjacent curve segment in the contour was obtained and curves feature was recognized. Finally, adjacent section contours was matched directly with Fourier-Mellin curve matching method for feature extraction.
