Vendor-Material Networks Analysis Based on Bipartite Graph as a Model
It appeared recently that the bipartite graph mode as a general model for complex networks has been widely used to represent all kind of real-world complex networks. In this paper, we have constructed and analyzed weighted networks of vendors and materials in an electric firm based on the bipartite graph model which is formed from 300 vendors and 5000 kinds of materials. To find some valued information in the model, the main properties of the networks have been analyzed. The paper focuses more particularly on weight and degree distributions of both the vendor network and the materials network. To remove some weak and accidental links in the decomposed networks the method of threshold filtering has been used in this study. The networks can be constructed with different levels of filtering through the parameter which is the cutoff for a link weight.
