PRACTICAL EFFECTIVE STRESS ANALYSIS AND DETERMINATION OF ITS DYNAMIC PROPERTY

A practical earthquake response analysis method based on effective stress analysis is proposed. The method, to consider material nonlinearity of soil, required only soil parameters such as the dynamic deformation curve (G- γ and h- γ curve) and liquefaction strength curve in addition to elastic parameters. Both data curve are directly obtained by ordinary site investigations.
