Research on Physical recycling of Waste TV Housing Plastic
The thermal stability and degradation kinetic of TV set housing plastic were investigated by the means of TG and IR instruments, the study results show that the weight loss of TV housing plastic was divided into two different stages, the thermal degradation of brominated flame retardants mainly occurred at 290℃~ 350℃, the HIPS resin mainly occurred at 350℃~ 455℃. Over 90% of Decabromodiphenyl ether can be firstly released from the TV housing plastic under isothermal and vacuum. The IR study showed that PB phase of HIPS resin was easier to take place thermal gradation than PS phase, which will cause to reduce impact property of the recycled TV housing plastic recycled by physical method.
