Removal of arsenic from condensate (liquid natural gas) by liquid -liquid extraction.
Removal of arsenic from condensate (liquid natural gas) by liquid -liquid extraction has been studied condensate contained about 0.154 ppm of arsenic. The effects of variables in this experiment were studied including Effect of extractants are HCl ,HNO3,H2SO4,(NH4)2SO4, NaOH and NaCl. , Stirring speeds are 125,375,625,875 and 1125 rpm. , Extractant concentrations are 0.5,1,2,3,4 and 5 mol/l. , Residence times are 60,120,180,240 and 300 minutes. The result show HCl was most successful for percentage of extraction. The optimum conditions are HCl 1 mol/l, stirring speed 875 rpm. and residence time 180 minutes. Arsenic was extracted from condensate phase to HCl phase about 74.67 %.
