Optimization of Recovery Process in Polyvinyl Alcohol Production

摘要：

The chemical simulation software ASPEN PLUS was used to simulate the entire recovery process in polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) production. A new method for the hydrolysis of methyl acetate used the catalytic distillation column instead of the fixed bed reactor. The simulation calculation of old and new process showed that: the catalytic distillation technology,which could meet the requirements of separation, was not only able to reduce the volume of the cycle materials, but also to optimize the process and achieve the purpose of energy saving.
