Hydrodynamic Influences of Nanoparticles on Forming Process of Bubbles in a nanofluid

A nanofluid is a suspension of nanoparticles in a conventional base fluid. The main objective of this paper is to investigate the hydrodynamic influences of nanoparticles on the forming process of the bubbles in nanofluids experimentally. In the experiment, a SiO2-water nanofluid is prepared without any surfactants, and the forming process of bubbles in the nanofluid is recorded by the high-speed CCD camera. The diameter and frequency of the bubbles are measured using image editor. The results show that the diameter of the bubble in the nanofluid is smaller 5% than that in water, and the bubble frequency in the nanofluid is higher than that in water.
