Preparation and properties study of Nanometer Titanium Dioxide
Nanosized TiO2 powder was prepared via sol-gel process. The influence of some factors on the gelation time, such as the solvent quantity, the water adding method and the hydrolyzing temperature was investigated. The influence of sintering temperature was researched systematically. The results show that the more quantity of the solvent, the slower speed of the adding water and the lower of the hydrolyzing temperature, the steadier the sol is. The amorphous TiO2 changes into anatase TiO2 which turns into rutile TiO2 finally as the temperature increases. However, high sintering temperature and long sintering time make the size of nanometer TiO2 powder grow and the asymmetry enlarge.
