Numerical Study of Absorption in a Laminar Falling Film of LiBr-Water On a cooled wall
Falling films are employed in variety of commercial and industrial systems, specifically in LiBr absorption heat pumps or chillers. Using CFD software-Fluent, numerical simulation of aqueous lithium bromide falling film absorption is conducted. In the present model, both coolant temperature variation and coolant heat transfer coefficient are considered together. Profiles of concentration and temperature through the film are presented at a number of downstream positions. So are heat flux and mass fluxes. Another, the effect of coolant heat transfer coefficient on outlet concentration is investigated.
