Application of different 2d electrode configurations in the soil EKR of Cu polluted soil. Juan Ernesto Almeira Ospina.

In this experiment we propose the testing of different 2D electrodes configuration in the treatment of Cu and Cr polluted soli using electrokinetic remediation. The angle θ formed between three electrodes (one anode and two cathodes) is controlled to generate different 2D arrangements. Cr migration is 28.73% higher for 60 deg than for θ = 55deg angle. The Cr accumulation in the pH jump zone is much higher for 55deg than for 60deg.The Cr accumulation in the pH jump zone is 239.79% higher than the value for θ 60 deg sample. For θ = 60deg Cu migration is lower 17.17% than θ= 55deg sample. It is concluded that different arrangement of the electrodes certainly affects migration of Cu and Cr ions during soil EKR process.
