Thermal decomposition of waste Printed Circuit Board (PCB) by PY-GC-MS analysis
Drive by the international pressure, various legislations such as WEEE and RoHS by the EU and the teteriorating environmental conditions and sustainable development. How to deal with this kinds of waste is a pressing in Current social. The PCBs samples came from real streams, were subjected to pyrolysis gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (PY-GC-MS). At 400,500and 600 ℃,Significant mass spectral ions were monitored in each pyrogram. A table for identification of such resins based on the most significant ions in the mass spectra of the pyrolysis fragments is proposed. The results of PY-GC-MS analysis of a sample from the Py-GC-MS was used for the simply qualitative analysis of the pyrolysis products at 300 and 400°C. The results indicated that:1) No significant influence of temperature influence the product was observed over 400 ℃, only with the increase of temperature the small molecules volatile substance became a little high.2) The characteristic pyrolysis product contained high concentrations of phenol,brom- phenol, as well as bisphenol A, tetrabromobisphenol A, methyl phenols, and C1-C4 alkanes and alkanes were present.
