Cerium Naphthenates for Improvement on Hazard Waste Emission of Diesel Engines
There are two key topics that Chinese traffics are facing, to improve the fuel combustion efficiency and to reduce the emissions of diesel engineer. The effects of cerium naphthenates in diesel fuel on engine performance and emissions were studied. At first, pure oil and diesel oil with 0.15% cerium naphthenates were collected. A TY1100 diesel engine was operated with the above fuels, and exhaust gas concentration, engine performance and combustion property were measured at some partial load. The results show that the engine emissions concentration of exhaust smoke, NOx and CO decreased with adding cerium naphthenates into diesel fuel. Exhaust smoke and NOx concentration decreased more obviously at higher engine loads than at lower engine loads.
