Cold-model Experiment of the Crystallizer in Manufacture of Alumina by Sub-melted Salt
The investigation of flow field in the reactor by cold-model experiment is significant, in which the transfer rule of a chemical engineering process can be extracted. In order to understand the transfer rule of the crystallization process of sodium aluminate from sub-melted salt media in the agitator, a cold-model experiment was performed. The critical agitation rate as well as the axial and radial concentration distribution of the grain in the reactor were measured to provide the basic data for the design and operation of the crystallizer.
