Studies on the Technique for Oil Removal From Wastewater with Coalescence
By making the coalescent experiment on the oil removal from heavy oil wastewater with polypropylene, stainless steel and polyvinylchloride as coalescent fillers, the best coalescent material, the best coalescent form and the best filling style had been decided. The experimental results showed that it provided good coalescent performance with the coalescent load (q) at the range from 0.03 to 0.04 m 3 ·m -2 ·h -1 by the use of polyvinylchloride. The oil removal efficiency can reach 96.1% in the combination with inclined plate oil water separator, which can match coagulation enhanced air flotation in oil removal effect. The coalescence technique has the advantages of adding no Chemicals, compact equipments and convenience in operation.
