Study on FRET Ebullated Bed Hydrotreating
The feature of the ebullated-bed hydrotreating technology developed by Fushun Research Institute of Petroleum and Petrochemicals (FRET) is described in this paper, as well as current situation of ebullated-bed hydrotreating all over the world. At present, a 4 liter pilot plant has been constructed, in which a number of tests are carried out. The test results from it show that the pilot plant can run steadily in a long cycle under proper operation condition and the amount of entrained catalyst is less than 10 part per million with 76% to 92% of HDM and 30% to 54% of HDS when treating Iranian atmospheric residue.
