The study on SM bituminous coal chars activation by co2 and their pore structure

The residues of solid particles after volatile released from the coal in pyrolysis process named coal char. Studies indicate that the distribution of porosity and the available reaction surface area of a char particle play an important role in the combution and gasification process and the adsorption properties. The adsorption of Un-activate coal char is worse than active carbon, studies indicate that the gas reaction play an important role in the active progress. This paper studied on the effect of CO2 in the activates progress of SM coal char which form the pilot plant for rapid pyroltsis solid heat carrier(DG progress), and found the optimal condition including temperature, airflow and time, and contrast the porous structure between original coal char and the activate coal char.
