The synthesis of 3-deoxy -D-glucose

摘要：

3-deoxy-D-glucose is a potential agent to be incorporated into the growing GAG chain and in doing prevent further elongation of the polysaccharide, it can also be an important intermediate for synthesis Astragalus Monholicus miscellaneous spiro alkaloid compounds. A convenient route for synthesis of 3-deoxy-D-glucose from D-glucose in four steps via the protection of the diol, activation and radical deoxygenation of the hydroxyl and deprotection as key steps are described here.
