Studies on Light Interception of Apple Tree Community (Ⅰ)

From the perspective of biomathematics,we establish the rotating semi-ellipsoid model of single apple tree canopy at a certain time of sun irradiation.Thus the canopies of apple tree community can be abstracted to a semi-ellipse cylinder; the irradiation distribution patterns and light interception were deduced as well.At last,it was come down to an optimization problem,through solving the optimization problem; we get the proportion of the major and minor axes at the maximum of the light interception area of canopy surface.Based on that,we have further analyzed the maximum available photosynthetic area and the effects of the proportion of the major and minor axes on it.
