Mathematical Analysis of An Modified Immune HBV Model

Mathematical models have been used to understand the factors that govern infectious disease progression in viral infections.Immune responses, especially cytotoxic T limpocyte (CTL)responses, play an important role in determining whether infections will be cleared or become persistent. Many HBV immune model were based on the basic virus infection model (BVIM)introduced by Zeuzem et al.and Nowak et al.But we have pointed out that the basic infection reproductive number of BVIM may be modified,so the correlative immune models could be also modified. In this paper,we introduce an modified immune model about CTL response to HBV.The corresponding reproductive number seems more reasonable, and the theoretical analysis shows that the CTL response increases the equilibrium abundance of uninfected cells and reduces the equilibrium abundance of infected cells and free virus, which seems also reasonable.
