Biological Control Strategy in an Age Structured Predator-prey Model
In this paper, we propose an age structured predator-prey (natural enemy-pest) model and construct a pest management strategy by impulsively releasing immature predators. We show that there exists a globally attractive pest-eradication periodic solution when the periodic releasing amount is large than some critical value. Then we give the conditions in which the pest population is below the economic threshold level and it may coexist with the predator population.
