Tourist Resorts Planning and Managing Aided by Tourists Spatial Behaviors Simulator
Based on the study of visitors individual spatial behaviors, the author developed a tourists spatial behaviors simulator(TSBS) , which is developed using Geographic Information System (GIS ) and Multi Agent System (MAS ) .TSBS employs segments,nodes, and areas to represent tourist resort space,rules to represent the modes of interactions between tourist and environment, agents to simulate the special behaviors of individual visitors, visitors state database to record changes of each visitors location and attributes, indicators analytical tools and visual analytical tool to analyze the simulation results.Tourist spatial behaviors simulator can be used as a virtual experiment platform for tourist resort planning and managing. Based on the virtual experiment platform, the tourist resort planning and managing can be tested prior to implementation to ensure its validity. The TSBS-aided tourists resorts planning and managing system include the effect prediction and evaluation of planning and managing scheme, the analyzing of the carrying capacity and the early warming and prevention of accidents. Our results show that TSBS will be an effective assistant planning and managing tools of tourists resorts.
