Empirical relationships for deposited length of debris flows-A case study in Taiwan
In this paper, several topographical parameters, including the deposited length of debris flow L, the deposited width of debris flow B, and the debris flow deposited volume V, for debris flow events that occurred in Taiwan from 1985 to 2004 are collected. Based on such collected data, the probabilistic relation between L and V as well as between L and B are formulated using a statistical analysis. The configurations of debris flow deposits with alluvial fan are also compared with those without alluvial fan in this paper.
