The Advantage Analysis of Supply Hub Based on Risk Pooling

The inventory advantage of supply hub was analyzed based on risk pooling theory.Supply hub,in the same way as risk pooling,can reduce inventory when we do not consider the matching of different parts or products.After matching is taken into account,an inventory model was established in supply chain of one product with two different parts.Essentially,the out-of-stock goods are reduced by supply hub under some conditions.The holding cost and the total cost can only be lowered,when the demand distributions satisfies some qualifications.Lastly,a simple example is included to highlight these results in a certain extent.
