An Description Model Based on Traffic Accident Database for Urban Road Intersections
Comparing with traditional intersection description methods, which are lack of accuracy, a formalized conceptual model is proposed for urban road intersections in this paper. And also, a realization method of computer modeling and application based on object-oriented technology is provided for above model, which can conveniently applied in traffic flow analysis on road intersections and accident database management. It can provide greater integrated and accurate information in GIS-T for accident locating and the analysis at the black spot, and may also provide some useful information for the optimization design of road intersections.
